1. Introduction

Welcome to Laura Larson Organizing (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German data protection law.

This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we collect, and why, when you:

sign up for our newsletter or take our quiz,
book a workshop call,
join our masterclass,
or contact us by email.

3. Website Hosting and Server Log Files

Our website is built and hosted on Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a service provided by [Kit legal entity name], USA. When you visit our website, Kit automatically collects technical information that your browser sends. This includes:

your IP address,
browser type and version,
operating system,
referring URL,
date and time of access.

This data is needed to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Kit.

4. Cookies

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we have not added any third-party tracking tools to our website. Kit may set cookies that are technically necessary to operate the website and its forms. These are permitted without consent under Section 25(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.

5. Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address, your name (if provided) and the content of your message in order to respond. The legal basis is:

Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or potential contract,
otherwise, our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We delete this data once your inquiry has been fully resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and, if provided, your first name to send you updates, tips and information about our offers. The newsletter is sent via Kit.

We use a double opt-in procedure. After signing up, you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription, and only then are you added to the list. We log the time of your sign-up and confirmation, along with your IP address, to prove that you consented.

Our newsletter emails contain standard measurement technology from Kit. This shows us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this information to improve our content.

The legal basis for all of this is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time using the “unsubscribe” link in every email, or by emailing us. Your data is stored until you unsubscribe and then deleted. We may keep your email address on a blocklist so that we can respect your withdrawal.

7. 5P Home Profile Quiz

Our quiz runs on a separate website provided by Interact ([Interact legal entity name], USA). When you take the quiz, Interact processes your answers and, if you choose to provide it, your email address.

If you enter your email address to receive your results handout, it is sent to Kit together with your quiz results. Based on your highest-scoring categories, you are tagged in Kit and receive an email sequence tailored to your profile. This tailoring only affects which content you receive. It has no legal effect on you and involves no decision about you.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. We have a data processing agreement with Interact.

8. Workshop Bookings (Calendly and Zoom)

If you book a workshop or call, the booking is handled by Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA). We process:

your name,
your email address,
the time you booked,
any information you enter in the booking form.

Calls take place on Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc., USA). When you join, Zoom processes your name or display name, and your audio, video and connection data.

The legal basis is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We have data processing agreements with Calendly and Zoom.

9. Masterclass (Whop, Skool and Zoom)

Payment and enrollment: Masterclass purchases are processed through Whop ([Whop legal entity name], USA). Whop processes your name, email address, billing and payment information. We do not receive your full payment card details. The legal basis is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We retain invoices and related transaction data for the periods required by German commercial and tax law, usually 8 to 10 years (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Course community: Course content and community are provided on Skool (Skool, USA). To take part, you create a Skool account. Skool processes your profile data and any content you post under its own privacy policy. Inside our community, we process your name, profile and posts to deliver the masterclass (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Live calls: Live sessions are held on Zoom (see Section 8). Sessions may be recorded and shared with participants. We will always tell you in advance, and you can keep your camera off or use a display name.

10. Data Transfers to Third Countries

Several of the service providers named above are based in the USA. Where a provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). Otherwise, transfers are protected by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers described above, and only as far as necessary.

12. Storage and Retention

We store personal data only for as long as the purposes described above require, or as long as the law requires. When the purpose no longer applies and no retention obligation remains, the data is deleted.

13. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

access your personal data (Art. 15),
have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16),
have your data erased (Art. 17),
restrict processing (Art. 18),
receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20),
withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. You also have the right to object at any time to the use of your data for direct marketing. To object, simply email us.

14. Obligation to Provide Data and Automated Decision-Making

You are not required to provide personal data. However, without certain data, we cannot:

respond to your inquiry,
send you our newsletter or quiz results,
enroll you in the masterclass.

We do not use automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects (Art. 22 GDPR).

15. Data Security

Our website is encrypted using SSL/TLS. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. Please note that ordinary email is not fully secure in transit.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page.
